Dr. Luz Estrada Lopez
Dr. Luz Estrada Lopez is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, but her road to our office has been an impressive one! Luz is a native of Colombia and received her dental degree from the National University in Bogota in 1989. Following dental school, she spent six months in a Public Health facility prior to opening a private practice. Wanting more, she entered a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Bosque University in Bogota, completing her training in 1995. Following a surgical fellowship at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, she entered private practice in 1998. When Dr. Luz moved to Raleigh, she knew she wanted to once again practice dentistry, but first she found time to help get our first Happy Tooth offices off the ground! She has now completed her US dental training and is eager to get back to the practice of dentistry. When she’s not working, she loves to travel, entertain and spend time with her husband and daughter.
